The Saint Lucia Planned Parenthood Association (SLPPA) is proud to announce that we have been officially admitted as an Associate Member Type 1 (AM1) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). This significant milestone was approved by the IPPF Board of Trustees on June 20, 2025, following a recommendation by the Membership Committee.
This achievement reflects SLPPA’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, rights-based, and inclusive sexual and reproductive health services in Saint Lucia. We are proud to have met 90% of IPPF’s governance and constitutional requirements, a testament to the tireless dedication of our Board, management team, staff, and volunteers.
As an IPPF Associate Member, SLPPA will have the opportunity to participate more fully in the global movement for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Over the next two years, we will continue working to fulfill the remaining membership requirements, with the goal of becoming a Full Member of the Federation.
